|
The PRCS is built on committed and continuous voluntary work by its members, staff and friends around the world. The PRCS nurtures the spirit of volunteerism, especially among youth, and makes use of their numerous capabilities through local and international programs.
The Youth and Volunteer Department was founded in September 1995 when the PRCS Headquarters moved to Palestine. Since its inception, the Department has worked, and continues to work, to establish a strong base from the youth and volunteer sector and engages professionals and academics with various specializations.
As of January 2008, the number of volunteers reached a total of 9,132 and
includes individuals from the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Palestinians from the
Diaspora; in addition to a number of short term international volunteers. |
