Background
The Organization Development Unit was founded in 2003 as a result of the
expansion of PRCS’s programs and services. The Society identified the need for
continuous development of PRCS’s capacities to enable it to provide humanitarian
services to the community. Since its inception, an integral part of the OD
Unit’s ongoing work has been to strengthen the society’s organizational
capacities. The main goals:
1- To develop the capacity of PRCS branches and Governance
2- To develop operational & management systems including finance, administration
and planning
3- To develop human resource management for staff & volunteers.
The Organization Development Unit acts as a facilitator for PRCS development
resources, and works to enhance fully integrated operations and management
systems. The OD Unit also coordinates with the Society’s secretariat to develop
PRCS’s governance & legal base.
