Palestine Red Crescent Briefs UK Lawmakers and Humanitarian Leaders During Closed Parliamentary Roundtable

During his visit to the United Kingdom, Dr. Younis Al-Khatib, President of the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), took part in a closed-door policy roundtable at the UK Parliament. The session was co-hosted by the British Red Cross and Member of Parliament Melanie Ward, bringing together UK lawmakers, humanitarian experts, NGO representatives, and officials from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) to discuss the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the West Bank.

Dr. Al-Khatib provided an overview of the devastating impact of the war on humanitarian conditions in Gaza, highlighting the collapse of safe and coordinated humanitarian access. He also outlined the key challenges PRCS teams are facing in the course of their humanitarian response.
