At a ceremony organized on the 18th of April 2008, Hansu University in South Korea awarded Mr. Younis Al Khatib, PRCS President, an Honorary Doctorate. Mr. Al Khatib was also awarded the Korean Red Cross Decoration “Taegug” in appreciation for his humanitarian action to the benefit of Palestinians in Palestine and the Diaspora and for the promotion of peace and dialogue, as well as for the immense humanitarian services rendered by PRCS in all fields to counter the inhumane practices of the Israeli occupation.
PRCS is a national humanitarian society which provides a wide range of humanitarian services for Palestinians in the OPT and abroad, as in Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and Iraq. It was founded on December 26th 1968 as a direct response to the health and welfare needs of the Palestinian people.
